MY STORY

Divorced twice, bankrupt & a single Mum by age 30! I struggled and juggled my way through my thirties went to re-hab and started again..but I still had some baggage I needed to get rid off. By my early 40's my health was beginning to cause me concern and I began my quest to find out so much more than I already knew about the how the body, mind, gut & brain function together and how I could help myself & my clients to feel awesome without medication or crazy 'quick fixes'.

A little History

I was the chubby one with freckles & ginger hair and I always felt different, I didn't fit in with everyone else because of the way I looked and so my focus was on my appearance for way too long, taking me into Bulimia, Anorexia, over eating and back to Bulimia again. Throw in alcohol addiction and smoking too at 21 when I  became a personal trainer & exercise to music instructor, I certainly wasn't leading by example...

That lifestyle was already beginning to take it's toll on my body and my health, though I wasn't aware of it at the time. I was doing damage to my gut and my neurological pathways. I recovered from those additions but still battled with my weight and energy levels, rarely feeling 'fantastic' I felt I was just getting through each day, things needed to change and the catalyst for that was my parents ill health and seeing the deterioration caused by a poor lifestyle & medication.

Neurology, addiction psychology, understanding the gut & adopting a whole body approach, plus lots of research, testing different ways to live, breaking patterns that kept people stuck was already something I did with my coaching & personal training clients, but now I felt I needed to go much deeper.

Full blood testing really understanding what the results meant in relation to one another, not just in isolation, showed me exactly what was going on in my body and so I set about discovering how I could change things and improve my health in ways that were doable and sustainable.

The Present

Mindset work way crucial in giving myself the time to try & fail. I was open to anything,  discovering what suited and didn't suit my body in terms of diet, sleep, stress management & exercise.

I found essential oils and tapping really helpful for cravings and breaking out of old habits. Instigating some discipline in the form of set a set evening & morning routine was also a necessity. I had a lot of work to go on my 'inner game' with my head trying to take the lead and tell me what I 'should or shouldn't' be doing.

I worked on the ART of health and wellness that leads to a whole mind & body transformation.

I discovered the three R's that pretty much keep people 'stuck' and the four 'S'es that have to be addressed in order to live a fun, energetic& fulfilling life and then I wrote all about it in my book 'Thrive not Strive'.

Now I coach people on how they can do the same, using the 6 principles of ENERGY

EMOTION, NUTRITION, EXERCISE, GUT, REST, YIELD

They can start to make changes and discover a way to better physical wellness.

Add in the 6 THRIVE principles and health, happiness and enjoyment of life for life is now so much more achievable & fun!

My favourite quote by Marianne Wlliamson as it something I have felt and I am sure you have too. As women we often feel our 'roles' in life mean that we put our light on the back-burner and allow others to thrive before we do.

I am on a Mission is to help woman  take a step into their own light, so that they feel happy, healthy, confident and at ease in their bodies, in their desires and with what their future holds. I won't do the work for you, but I will guide you every step of the way.
